On April 25, Deputy Foreign Minister Grigor Hovhannisyan received Mohammed Bin Hamad Saad Al Hajri, the newly appointed Ambassador of Qatar (residence in Tehran), on the occasion of extending the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador, Deputy Minister Hovhannisyan wished him success in his mission and expressed hope that a new page will be opened in strengthening and deepening the Armenia-Qatar relations.

Expressing gratitude to the Deputy Minister, Ambassador Al-Hajri mentioned that Qatar side shows a warm attitude towards Armenia and the Armenian people. The Ambassador wished progress and prosperity to the Armenian Government and people.

Both sides highlighted Armenia-Qatar relations on multilateral platforms. The parties agreed to continue efforts for expanding the interstate legal framework and boosting economic, tourism and cultural exchanges. Grigor Hovhannisyan and Ambassador Al-Hajri also underscored the importance of organizing consultations between the Foreign Ministries.

At the end of the meeting, the sides reiterated their commitment to spare no efforts for further deepening of Armenia-Qatar relations.
