On April 11, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan received Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhamedgeldi Ayazov at the latter's request.

In the course of the meeting the sides discussed issues concerning the 2019 Session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Armenia and Turkmenistan, as well as exchanged views regarding holding consultations on various issues between the Foreign Ministries of two countries, organization of  the Days of Armenian Culture in Turkmenistan. A number of other issues of bilateral agenda were also touched upon.
