On February 7, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Austria and newly appointed Permanent Representative of Armenia to international organisations in Vienna Armen Papikyan presented his letters of credence to Li Young, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

During the meeting that followed the ceremony the interlocutors touched upon the projects that are being implemented in Armenia by UNIDO, as well as discussed the perspectives of enhancement of cooperation.

Li Young congratulated the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Armenia, wished him every success, and expressed conviction that there will be new achievements in bilateral cooperation during Ambassador’s tenure. UNIDO Director General highly appreciated the leading role of the Armenian Government in implementation of Sustainable development goals, noting that his Organization, while being ready to assist, looks into possibility of diversifying the cooperation fields.
