On October 9, political consultations were held between the Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Armenia and the Swiss Confederation. The Armenian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian and the Swiss delegation by Deputy State Secretary on Foreign Affairs Christina Marti Lang.

During the consultations, the sides discussed the prospects for enhancing the political and economic relations and sectoral cooperation, especially focusing on the deepening of trade and economic cooperation between the countries.

The sides also discussed regional and international issues and developments of mutual interest. At the request of the Swiss high-ranking representative, Garen Nazarian presented the approaches of the Armenian side with regards the process of resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
