On October 7, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Mélanie Joly, Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie of Canada, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the works of the 35th Ministerial Conference and the 17th Summit of La Francophonie.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the issues related to the work programme of the Yerevan Summit of La Francophonie, side events and the documents to be submitted.

They underscored that the OIF platform provides broad opportunity for the expansion of cooperation in the francophone area, as well as for the further development of bilateral relations between the member states of the organization.

The Ministers touched upon a number of issues of the bilateral agenda, expressing conviction that the visit to Armenia of Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada would give a new impetus and content to the cooperation of the two friendly countries.
