On September 28, at the UN Headquarters, a meeting of Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, with Mark Lowcock, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator took place.

Minister Mnatsakanyan attached great importance to global and regional cooperation aimed at disaster risk reduction and overcoming their consequences. In this regard, Minister highly appreciated the cooperation established between the relevant agencies of Armenia and the Regional Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs directed at improving the planning and coordination of disaster preparedness  initiatives.

The sides exchanged views on the activities of the Regional Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Middle East.

The interlocutors outlined the ways to further expand the programmes that are being jointly implemented.
