Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Slovakia

On September 28, in New York, on the sidelines of the 73rd session of United Nations General Assembly, a meeting took place between Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Miroslav Lajčák, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Slovakia.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan congratulated his colleague on the occasion of having a productive presidency of the United Nations General Assembly.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the bilateral relations, stressing the importance of the initiating joint steps aimed at deepening and strengthening further cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.

Ministers Mnatsakanyan and Lajčák exchanged views regarding the prospects of promoting relations and cooperation between Armenia and the European Union, based on the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

The sides touched upon the priorities of the upcoming Slovakian Chairmanship in the OSCE. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan presented to his counterpart the position and approaches of Armenia with regards the settlement process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk group Co-chairmanship.
