Foreign Minister of Armenia met with Foreign Minister of Estonia

On September 27, in New York, the Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Sven Mikser, Foreign Minister of Estonia.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan noted that Armenia attaches importance to the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with Estonia in all the areas of bilateral interest.

Foreign Ministers touched upon the Armenia-EU partnership, highlighting in this context the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, which opens new perspectives for cooperation both in terms of Armenia-EU relations and in the bilateral format with EU member states. In this context, the sides also exchanged views on the steps aimed at implementation of Armenia-EU agreements.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Estonia touched in details upon the preparations for the upcoming Summit of International Organization of La Francophonie to be held in October in Yerevan, its agenda, planned events, as well as the documents to be submitted to participants for approval.

Minister Mnatsakanyan presented the priorities of the Armenian presidency in the organization, highlighting the innovation and digital agenda as the main focus. In this regard, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Estonia commended the fruitful bilateral cooperation established in the field of information technologies, stressing the importance of initiating programmes and events aimed at exchange of experience.

The interlocutors commended the intensification of bilateral cultural ties and the importance of regularly organized cultural events, in particular, the events dedicated to the centenaries of the Republics of Estonia and Armenia in Yerevan and Tallinn.
