Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian met with the Rapporteur of German Bundestag on Armenia

On July 24, Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia met with Christoph Ploß, the member of the Bundestag (member of the CDU/CSU alliance) of the Federal Republic of Germany, who was accompanied by Matthias Kiesler, Ambassador of Germany to Armenia.

The interlocutors touched upon the initiatives of the Armenian government related to the reforms that have received a new impetus in Armenia, as well as the issues of the Armenian-German relations agenda, underscoring the importance of their discussion in the inter-parliamentary format and the consistency of contacts.

Christoph Ploß, who is also the rapporteur on Armenia in the Committee of the German parliament on Affairs of the European Union, was briefed on the works aimed at implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. The counterparts discussed the process of ratification of the agreement by EU member states.

A number of regional and international issues was also touched upon during the meeting. At the request of the German MP, Garen Nazarian presented the approaches of the Armenian side to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
