Meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian and Sara Croft, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office Lead Negotiator

On July 17, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Garen Nazarian met with Sarah Croft, the Lead Negotiator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Nazarian attached importance to the launch of the ratification process of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement in the UK parliament, expressing hope that the discussions planned for 18 July in the House of Lords will run smoothly paving the way for the final ratification of the Agreement.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on the Brexit process. In that context, the interlocutors touched upon the possibility of formation of a bilateral legal framework following Brexit, the continued relevance of international agreements currently in place between Armenia and the UK and other relevant issues.
