Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Garen Nazarian recieved the Deputy of the German Bundestag

On July 12, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Garen Nazarian received the Deputy of Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany Nikolas Löbel (member of the CDU / CSL alliance), who was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia Matias Kisler.

 Nazarian and Löbel expressed conviction that the dynamics of the Armenian-German relations is not only maintained, but is being intensified thanks to regularly held high level political dialogue and mutual visits of the parliamentarians.

In the context of large-scale reforms in the country, the guest was briefed on the steps aimed at implementing the priorities declared by the Government in its programme. The sides discussed a wide range of issues of the Armenian-German agenda, including opportunities for realization of the existing potential in the field of information technologies. The process of ratification of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement  by the EU Member States, as well as the work towards its implementation were touched upon.

The German legislator and the Deputy Foreign Minister exchanged views on the steps arising from the resolution on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide adopted by Bundestag, underlining the invaluable contribution of parliamentarians to the prevention of crimes against humanity and their condemnation.

During the meeting the sides touched upon the process of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the situation in the region.
