Meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti

On October 10, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian met Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti Ahmed Ali Silay.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian expressed gratitude for participation at the Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the International Organization of La Francophonie and attached importance to the rapid establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states. The Minister noted, that the first visit from Djibouti is a good opportunity for the discussion of cooperation in the fields of culture, education and other areas.

Thanking for the invitation to visit Yerevan and the warm reception, Ahmed Ali Silay commended the high-level of organization of the 31st Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the International Organization of La Francophonie.

During the meeting, the Ministers touched upon possible fields of collaboration, in this regard, establishment of the legal framework.

Minister Silay presented priorities of his country’s foreign policy and economic development, and expressed assurance over the joint steps to-be-undertaken for the development of ties to continue the already launched dialogue.
