The newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria presented the copies of his credentials to the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs
15 June, 2012On June 15 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received George Karastamatov, the newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to Armenia on the occasion of presenting his credentials.
Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment, Minister Nalbandian underlined that since the establishment of the relations between Armenia and Bulgaria twenty years ago, the interaction between the two countries has been dynamically developing.
Edward Nalbandian expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador would bring his unique contribution to the further strengthening and expansion of friendly relations.
Talking about the friendship between the two peoples, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs underlined that there are similarities between the fates of the Armenian and Bulgarian peoples and they are connected with centuries-old deep historical and civilization ties and have friendly feelings towards each other.
Expressing gratitude for the wishes, Ambassador Karastamatov assured that he would do his utmost to develop mutually beneficial cooperation and to include new fields in the existing cooperation.
The sides discussed issues related to the expansion of bilateral interaction, cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and promotion of cultural exchanges.
