The Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development
21 March, 2011On March 21, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Welcoming the guest, Edward Nalbandian commended the UNCTAD’s Secretariat for the support provided to the activities implemented in the sphere of Armenia’s Competition Policy.
UNCTAD’s Secretary-General highly appreciated the cooperation with Armenia and noted that the reforms in the economic policy in Armenia are successfully being implemented.
Upon the request of the guest, Edward Nalbandian briefed about the foreign economic relations of Armenia and the steps undertaken by the authorities to further support them.
The sides also discussed a number of issues related to the improvement of the Armenian Competition Policy.
Supachai Panitchpakdi introduced his vision of overcoming the world economic crisis to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
During the conversation a number of issues aimed at the improvement of Armenia’s Competition Policy were discussed.
