The first meeting of economic, industrial and technological cooperation of the Armenian-Cypriot inter-governmental commission took place in Yerevan

On January 13-14, the first meeting of economic, industrial and technological cooperation of the Armenian-Cypriot inter-governmental commission took place in Yerevan.

The Armenian delegation was headed by the Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Arman Kirakossian and the Cypriot delegation was led by George Georgiou, the Permanent Secretary of the Programming Bureau of the Republic of Cyprus.

In the course of meeting, the sides exchanged information on the current economic situation in Armenia and Cyprus, as well as the perspectives of the development of bilateral trade-economic relations between the two countries.

The representatives of the interested institutions of the Republic of Armenia had a detailed talk with their Cypriot colleagues on the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in various spheres, as well as in the spheres of high technologies, healthcare, tourism, energy, transport, agriculture, education and culture.

At the end of the meeting the heads of two delegations signed the final protocol of the Armenian-Cypriot inter-governmental commission where the ways of bilateral cooperation in the above-mentioned spheres were defined.

During the meeting the sides decided to hold the next meeting in Nicosia.
