The Ambassador of Canada presents the copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian

 On November 1, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received John Sloan, the newly appointed Ambassador of Canada to Armenia (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials.

Minister Nalbandian congratulated Ambassador Sloan on the occasion of his appointment and mentioned that the Armenian-Canadian relations had a considerable progress within the frames of political dialogue, parliamentary and decentralized cooperation. The Armenian Foreign Minister expressed hope that Ambassador Sloan will have his important contribution to the further strengthening of the Armenian-Canadian relations and expressed the Armenian Foreign Ministry's support to the Ambassador during the implementation of his diplomatic mission.

Expressing gratitude for the wishes, John Sloan assured that he would do his utmost for further developing and expanding of bilateral cooperation that have recently been intensified in various spheres.

The interlocutors stressed the importance of cooperation between Armenia and Canada in the international organizations.

Edward Nalbandian and John Sloan exchanged views on the steps undertaken towards the further expansion of bilateral relations. In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia underlined that the opening of the Canadian diplomatic representation in Yerevan is on the agenda.
