The Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian receives the Vice-President of the European movement
07 September, 2010On September 7, the Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received a delegation of the European Movement, headed by Vice-President, State Minister of Belgium Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb.
Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandyan highly appreciated European Movement's contribution to the dissemination of European values and the creation of a unified Europe and stated that the organization has accumulated serious, valuable experience in the past 50 years of its existence.
The sides exchanged views on the EU Eastern Partnership Plan and stated that it contained great potential for the cooperation between involved countries and the EU, as well as for the development of multilateral cooperation in the region.
Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb informed about the European Movement's plan to hold the movement's conference in Yerevan next year and asked the Armenian government's support in organizing the conference.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon issues related to the South Caucasus and the directions for solving those issues.
