Question: Yesterday the President of Azerbaijan again made a number of militaristic statements, as well as his own interpretations of the negotiation process. That was preceded by the statements of the Foreign Minister and other officials. How will you assess them?

Answer: The recent statements and steps of high-ranking officials of Azerbaijan, as well as the statements and steps that preceded it, are the continuation of the provocation organized by them on the night of 17th to 18th of June. They are obviously aimed at failing the negotiation process.

Trying to walk away from the agreements reached in St. Petersburg, the leaders of Azerbaijan try to dazzle its own people by distorting the essence of negotiations and reached agreements. And for that purpose they make unsuccessful efforts to revisit history, geography, demography and international law.

Despite the hopeless efforts of Baku, the Prague process is the process of Prague, not Baku, the Madrid Proposals are the proposals of Madrid, not of Baku, and the aggression unleashed against the Nagorno Karabakh Republic is the aggression of Azerbaijan. The self-determination of the people of Nagorno Karabakh cannot be restricted by mentioning the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan for 13 times in a single speech.

Without learning a lesson from genuine history the leaders of Azerbaijan threaten by new provocations and adventures.

These statements confirm the position that after each important meeting the leadership of Azerbaijan undertakes purposeful steps to fail the negotiations, and in this case the possible five-lateral meeting in Almaty, which is planned in around 10 days. The constructiveness is based on truth, and not on the basis of conceit, illusions and threats.
