20 May, 2010On May 20, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Patrick Devejian, the Minister of Economic Recovery Plan of France, President of the General Council of Hauts-de-Seine Department.
Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian expressed satisfaction with the high level of friendly relations existing between Armenia and France, attached importance to the personal contribution of Patrick Devejian in the strengthening and deepening of that relationship.
The delegation headed by Patrick Devejian is in Armenia within the framework of implementing programmes of the Hauts-de-Seine Department presided by him that support the development of Tavush marz. In 2008, the Council of Hauts-de-Seine Department started the implementation of programmes aimed at the modernization of agricultural infrastructure of Tavush marz.
Minister Nalbandian expressed gratitude for the participation of the department headed by Patrick Devejian at the programmes being implemented under the auspices of the “Hayastan” All Armenian Fond and stressed that it is another evidence of the Armenian-French cooperation, which is being extended day by day.
The two mentioned with satisfaction that decentralized cooperation is also intensively developing along with interstate cooperation and regular mutual visits and jointly implemented projects are the prove of that.
