On May 4, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Miguel Angel Cuneo, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Armenia on the occasion of presenting of copies of his credentials.

Minister Nalbandian congratulated Ambassador Cuneo on his appointment and expressed hope that he would have his important contribution to the more strengthening of the Armenian-Argentine friendly relations. Edward Nalbandian also expressed the support of the Foreign Ministry to the Ambassador during his diplomatic mission. The Armenian Foreign Minister asked to deliver to his Argentinean counterpart Jorge Taiana his greetings and invitation to visit Armenia.

Ambassador Miguel Angel Cuneo thanked for warm wishes and mentioned that Argentina attaches great importance to the further deepening of comprehensive relations with Armenia and the face that the first embassy of his country in this region is established in Yerevan is the evidence of that. Ambassador Cuneo attached importance to the role of the Armenian community in Argentina in the development of bilateral relations.

They both expressed satisfaction with the friendly relations established between Armenia and Argentina, as well as the developed legal field. Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Cuneo also discussed the possibilities of using the great potential of cooperation.

The two exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
