On April 6, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court who arrived in Armenia to participate in the works of 37th Congress of International Federation for Human Rights.

Welcoming Luis Moreno-Ocampo’s visit to Armenia Minister Nalbandian attached importance to the activity of the International Criminal Court and stressed the role of the court in the prevention of crimes against humanity.

Luis Moreno-Ocampo mentioned that the main goal of the International Criminal Court is the protection of human rights, the prevention of heinous crimes, including genocides.

Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Prosecutor General of the International Crime Court discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Armenia and ICC.
