29 March, 2010On March 29, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia), Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (USA) and Andrzej Kasprzyk, the personal representative to the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office who arrived in Yerevan within the frameworks of regional visit.
Minister Nalbandian expressed condolences to the Russian Co-Chair on the occasion of dozens of human victims as a result of today’s terrorist attacks in the Moscow subway.
In the course of the meeting, they discussed the recent developments in the negotiations on the settlements of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue and the possibilities of bringing closer the parties approaches on the basis of the Madrid proposals.
Co-Chairs informed Edward Nalbandian on the results of their talks with the authorities of Nagorno Karabakh held the day before in Stepanakert.
Touching upon the recent manipulations concerning the Madrid proposals Foreign Minister of Armenia said. “The Madrid proposals has been accepted by the Armenian side as a basis for negotiations two years ago and they remain so”.
