Ambassador of Algeria presents the copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian

On February 24, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Smail Shergui, the newly appointed Ambassador of Algeria to Armenia (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting of copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment Minister Nalbandian attached importance to the development of relations with Algeria which has a leading role in the Arab world and Maghreb and expressed hope that Smail Shargui will have his important contribution in that process.  

Ambassador Shargui thanked for good wishes and reiterated that he will do his best to maintain the promotion of bilateral relations in different areas.

The two attached importance to the formation of legal field between the two countries, the undertaking of steps aimed at the establishment of economic cooperation, as well as the cultural exchanges.

Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Shargui touched upon the cooperation between Armenia and Algeria within international organizations, as well as exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
