On December 25, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Tariq Al-Hidan, First Deputy Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the delegation, which has arrived in Yerevan to hold first political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Armenia and the UAE.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Nalbandian mentioned with satisfaction that cooperation between Armenia and the Emirates is dynamically developing and recently intensified high-level mutual visits, increasing interest of the Emirate businessmen towards Armenia are the evidence of that.

The UAE Deputy Foreign Minister Tariq Al Hidan thanked for warm reception and stressed that his country is determined to broaden cooperation with friendly Armenia and is already undertaking concrete steps in that direction.

The two expressed satisfaction with the process of first political consultations held between Foreign Ministries of Armenia and the UAE on December 24-25 by underlining their importance for deepening and broadening cooperation between the two countries.

In the course of the meeting, they also touched upon the Caucasian and Middle East issues and the efforts aimed at their settlement.
