The meeting of Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian and Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze

On September 4, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Grigol Vashadze,  who was in Yerevan on a working visit.

Welcoming Grigol Vashadze and his delegation, Edward Nalbandian attached importance to the regular contacts between the two Foreign Ministries and mentioned that it creates solid basis for the further development of mutually beneficial relations.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia had a detailed discussion on a wide range of issues concerning bilateral relations. Within that context they touched upon the construction works of Gyumri- Bavra - Akhaltskha-Batumi highway the completion of which will give an opportunity to facilitate cargo and passenger transportation from Armenia to Georgia and vice versa.

Armenian Foreign Minister and his Georgian counterpart also discussed issues concerning the expansion of legal field, the process of border demarcation and the development of cooperation in energy area.

By the initiative of the Armenian side, the two also touched upon a number of issues of Georgian Armenian’s concern.
The meeting was followed by the signing ceremony of Protocol on mutual land donation to the diplomatic missions.

On September 5, Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze is going to meet the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
