Ambassador of Italy presents the copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian

On July 1, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Bruno Scapini, the newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to Armenia on the occasion of presenting the copies of  credentials.

In his welcoming remarks, Minister Nalbandian wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic mission and expressed hope that during his activity the Ambassador will have his considerable contribution in the expansion and deepening of Armenian-Italian friendly relations.

Ambassador Scapini attached importance to the traditional Armenian-Italian mutual sympathy and warm relationship and mentioned that he would do his best for the strengthening and expansion of existing cooperation.

In the course of the meeting, the two had a discussion on the intensification of political dialogue between the two countries, as well as issues concerning further development of economic and cultural cooperation.

During the meeting, Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Scapini also touched upon Armenia-European Union relationship and the bilateral cooperation within that framework.
The two also discussed regional and international issues.
