On June 16, after the completion of bilateral ratification process, the Agreement on Air communication (Open Skies) signed between the Governments of the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America in Washington on November 21, 2008 has been entered into force.

According this document the aviation corporations of both Armenia and the United States will get an opportunity to have direct flights between the two countries.
