Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian receives Le Kyu-Hyung, Ambassador of Korea to Armenia

On June 2, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Le Kyu-Hyung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Armenia.

In his welcoming remarks Minister Nalbandian attached importance to undertaking steps aimed at the promotion of cooperation in different areas between Armenia and the Republic of Korea in different areas.

Ambassador Kyu-Hyung stressed that the authorities of Korean Republic attach great importance to the further enlargement of comprehensive relationship with Armenia.

The two had discussions on a wide range of issues concerning Armenian-Korean political dialogue, intensification of economic relations and cultural exchanges, as well as exchanged views on cooperation within international organizations.

Korean Ambassador presented to Armenian Foreign Minister the recent developments in the Korean Peninsula concerning the launch of a ballistic missile and implementation of nuclear programs by the South Korea. Within that context Foreign Minister of Armenia voiced concern on the rise of tensions in the region and expressed hope that the efforts of international community will bring to the resumption of six-party talks and stabilization of situation on the Korean Peninsula.
