Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Gegham Gharibjanian receives Czech Parliamentary Delegation

On October 8 Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Gegham Gharibjanian received the delegation headed by Jan Kasal, Vice-President of the Czech Parliament Chamber of Deputies.

In his welcoming remarks Gegham Gharibjanian highly appreciated traditionally warm and friendly relations between Armenia and Czech Republic. Deputy Foreign Minister attached importance to the further deepening of Armenian-Czech cooperation, in particular the extension of bilateral legal basis.


Touching upon upcoming chairmanship of the Czech Republic in European Union, Deputy Minister Gharibjanian expressed hope that it will promote the deepening of Armenia-EU relations. In that context Gegham Gharibjanian mentioned that the cooperation with European Union is one of the priorities of Armenian foreign policy and our will pursue progress in that area.

On the request of the guests Gegham Gharibjanian presented Armenian position on recent regional developments and Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) peace process. He particularly mentioned that Armenian is against the settlement of conflicts by force and underlined that peace negotiations and dialogue don’t have alternative.
