Minister Edward Nalbandian continues his visit to Berlin.

On July 1 Minister Nalbandian, who was on an official visit in Berlin, had a meeting with the Head of the Germany-South Caucasus Parliamentary Group Steffen Reiche.

The present situation and prospects of cooperation between Armenian and German Parliaments was discussed. The issues of partnership of members the National Assembly and Bundestag in the parliamentary assemblies of international organizations was also examined.

Mr Reiche presented to Minister Nalbandian his and the his group’s initiatives, in particular the works carried out on the establishment of Joseph Lepsiuse’s museum in Potsdam. He invited Minister Nalbandian to take part in the official opening ceremony of the museum.

Minister Nalbandian noted that parliamentary diplomacy is one of the best ways to develop the relations between the countries. He welcomed the initiatives of Bundestag deputies aimed at the  further deepening Armenian – German relations.

By the request of the German MP, the Armenian Foreign Minister gave information on the Armenia’s position concerning the settlement of Armenian – Turkish relations, as well as about the perspectives of Nagorno Karabakh peace process.

Steffen Reiche presented to Minister Nalbandian his viewpoints concerning the peace and security in the Caucasus’ region.

The Head of the Germany-South Caucasus Parliamentary Group reiterated the invitation sent to the members Armenia – Germany interparliamentary friendship group of Armenian National Assembly to visit Germany in November of this year.

Minister Nalbandian had a meeting also with Gunter Pilarsky the president of the “Cronimet Cruppe” company. During the meeting Edward Nalbandian and Gunter Pilarsky discussed the investment programs realized by the company in Armenia and the prospects of their expansion.

On the same day in the evening Minister Edward Nalbandian left for Helsinki by the invitation of the Foreign Minister of Finland, OSCE chairman in office Alexander Stubb.
