On June 27 the foreign minister Nalbandian received the OSCE Minsk Group co chairs Bernard Fassier (France), Matthew Bryza (USA), Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia), and Anjey Kasperchik, the personal representative of the OSCE chairman in office.

During the negotiations Minister Nalbandian presented to the Co-chairs the approaches of Armenia on the proposals presented by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs in Madrid in November 2007. He stressed that the militaristic statements of Azerbaijani leaders make difficult the establishment of the confidence atmosphere in the negotiations and their progress.

The Co-chairs informed Minister Nalbandian about the results of the meetings with the Azerbaijani President and Foreign Minister in Baku. They noted that Nagorno Karabakh issue must be solved only by peaceful means.

The Co-chairs assured that they will continue their efforts in bringing closer the positions of sides on the basis of Madrid proposals.
