On June 16th , the Ambassador of Czech Republic Ivan Jestrab (residence in Tbilisi) handed over the copies of the credentials to the Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian appreciated  the level of Armenian – Czech relations and noticed the importance of further steps for deepening of cooperation in different areas.

Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Jestrab agreed that the official visit of the Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg to Armenia is an evidence of progress of bilateral relations.

On his turn the Ambassador Jestrab highly praised the implementation of European Neighbourhood Policy’s Action Plan. He stressed that EU – Armenia cooperation will be more enhanced in 2009, when Czech Republic will hold EU presidency.

Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Jestrab also discussed Armenian – Czech cooperation in international organizations, prospects of partnership in the fields of economy, education and culture.
