24 March, 2008

On March 24, Bui Dinh Dinh, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Moscow), presented copies of his credentials to Minister Oskanian.

The Minister welcomed the Ambassador, and wished him good luck in his high mission expressing hope that the historically warm relations between Armenia and Vietnam will get a new impetus during his tenure.

Both interlocutors underscored the absence of any political differences between the two countries, the high level of political relations, and the productive cooperation within international organizations.

Speaking about economic relations, they said that, albeit there exist some legal documents in that sphere, these relations can be expanded and deepened.

During the meeting, Minister Oskanian and the newly-appointed Ambassador also touched upon cooperation in the sphere of tourism, and signature of an agreement on travel without entrance visa requirement for those holding diplomatic passports.
