On February 2008, Raul de Luzenberger, Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to the Republic of Armenia, presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Baibourdian.

The Deputy Minister welcomed the newly-appointed Ambassador, and wished his success in his mission. During the meeting, the two discussed a number of issues, specifically, the present state and prospect of the EU’s European Neighborhood Program Action Plan with Armenia. They also touched upon the coming presidential elections in Armenia.

Ambassador Luzenberger asserted that the European Union is interested in continuing cooperation with Armenia, evidence of which is opening EU delegation in Armenia. He also expressed hope that Armenia will continue to develop toward the democratic values.
