The new Ambassador of Bulgaria, Todor Marinov Staykov, presented copies of his credentials to Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian on January 10, 2008.
Welcoming the Ambassador, the Minister wished him success in his mission. Minister Oskanian stated that the warm relations that exist between the two countries serve as a basis from which to enhance cooperation in various spheres.

Minister Oskanian also expressed satisfaction with Armenia’s bilateral relations with Bulgaria and proceeded to explore opportunities for joint programs. The two also agreed that the Bulgarian Prime Minister’s  November 2007 visit to Armenia was an important impetus for deeper cooperation.
