Armenia’s Foreign Minister Meets with Lithuania’s Minister of National Defense

Lithuania’s Minister of National Defense Juozas Olekas and his delegation visited Minister Oskanian on November 12, 2007.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Oskanian expressed appreciation for the high level of  military collaboration between the two countries and underscored the importance of reciprocal visits and bilateral agreements.

Lithuania’s National Defense Minister stated that the main purpose of their visit is to discuss reforms in the spheres of military education, peacekeeping and defense. He also underscored Lithuania’s readiness to offer practical help and engage in sharing the Lithuanian experience in the implementation of the Armenia-NATO IPAP program. 

The two discussed regional problems and also spoke about the latest developments in the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process.
