On November 5, 2007, Armenia’s Foreign Minister received Terry Davis, Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Oskanian stated that the visit is an opportunity to speak about Armenia-Council of Europe collaboration, as well as about the implementation of Armenia’s commitments.

The two spoke about the parliamentary elections that took place in May and about the preparatory process necessary to maintain the same positive assessment for the upcoming presidential elections.

The Minister and Mr. Davis also discussed a fact-finding mission to assess the condition of cultural monuments in Armenia and Azerbaijan. Armenia reconfirmed its views on this important matter.  

The two also spoke about the the latest developments in the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process and Armenia-Turkey relations.
