Massimo Lavezzo Cassinelli, Newly Appointed Ambassador of Italy, Presents Copies of Credentials to Vartan Oskanian, Foreign Minister
26 March, 2007On March 26, Foreign Minister Oskanian received Massimo Lavezzo Cassinelli, newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to Armenia, who presented copies of his credentials.
The Foreign Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him good luck in his mission. He also spoke of stable relationships between Armenia and Italy, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation. The two agreed that the European Neighborhood Policy is a good opportunity to deepen the relations.
The two exchanged views on a number of regional issues and on the latest developments in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process, as well as Italy’s readiness to support the Rural Poverty Eradication Program in Armenia.
