On September 3, the representatives of Foreign Ministries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states held consultations on the agenda of the 75th Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.  

A strong friendship unites the peoples of Armenia and Belarus. It is expressed in people-to-people contacts. And, of course, we can not be indifferent to what is happening in Belarus.

We strongly condemn the degrading treatment of the officer Gurgen Alaverdyan, who appeared under the Azerbaijani jurisdiction on August 22. This is a flagrant and gross violation of the international humanitarian law.  

On August 26, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, held a phone conversation with Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russia.

On August 24, the newly appointed UNICEF Representative in Armenia Marianne Clark-Hattingh presented her credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Artak Apitonyan.

On the eve of the 20th anniversary of the UN Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security (2000), an information brochure on this topic was published, presenting the first National Action Plan of the Republic of Armenia.

On August 15, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had phone conversations with Foreign Minister of Greece Nikos Dendias and Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides.

We reiterate Armenia’s unequivocal support and solidarity with Greece and Cyprus and call on Turkey to de-escalate the situation, respect the International Law and cease all actions within the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Greece and Cyprus.
