On May 13, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Aivazian held a phone conversation with CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas.

The parties reiterated their commitment to make joint efforts towards maintaining security, peace and stability in the OSCE region.

On May 13, at the session of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna, under the item "Current Issues" of the agenda, the Delegation of Armenia to the OSCE presented the item "Incursion by Azerbaijan into the sovereign territory of Armenia.” 

Acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian stressed that the use of force poses impediments towards the settlement of conflicts, disrupting regional peace and security.

During the phone conversation, Acting Minister Aivazian discussed the resumption of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.

Armenia is always willing to cooperate with international partners in addressing humanitarian issues.  

On May 6, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Aivazian held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov, who is on a working visit to Armenia.

There is an imperative for preserving the numerous cultural, including religious monuments of Artsakh, which have fallen under the Azerbaijani military control.

We welcome the adoption of the declaration recognizing the Armenian Genocide by the Parliament of Latvia. This is a step towards the universal recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.  

In the framework of your visit we will, certainly, consider the issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.
