The discussion and combining of the positions on regional processes and challenges hold a special place on our agenda.   

The new direction of our foreign policy in the Middle East is aimed at consistent activation of relations with the regional countries and the dynamic development of multi-vector cooperation.

The relations between Armenia and Egypt are anchored on centuries-old friendship, historical and cultural commonalities, and mutual trust.

Question: The Foreign Minister will pay a visit to the Middle East in the coming days. In general, what is the importance of the Middle Eastern countries for Armenia's foreign policy?

A strong friendship unites the peoples of Armenia and Belarus. It is expressed in people-to-people contacts. And, of course, we can not be indifferent to what is happening in Belarus.

We strongly condemn the degrading treatment of the officer Gurgen Alaverdyan, who appeared under the Azerbaijani jurisdiction on August 22. This is a flagrant and gross violation of the international humanitarian law.
