We strongly condemn the blatant armed encroachment against the sovereign territory of Armenia - the UN member state, which is a violation of the norms of international law.  

Azerbaijan continues to use Armenian prisoners of war as political hostages, and continues the policy of torture and psychological pressure on them.  

On May 20, the European Parliament by an overwhelming majority passed a resolution on Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijani captivity, which also touched upon the broader context of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and regional security.

We welcome the calls made by the European Parliament in its annual report on Turkey, particularly, those to recognize the Armenian Genocide and to refrain from anti-Armenian propaganda. We urge Turkey to respect these calls, including refraining

The imposition of conditions with the threat or use of force is a gross violation of international law. Armenia will not give in to such pressures.

We would like to once again emphasize that the Azerbaijani side made an incursion in the sovereign territory of Armenia. We highly appreciate the calls of our international partners addressed to Azerbaijan to immediately withdraw its armed units from

Armenia is always willing to cooperate with international partners in addressing humanitarian issues.  

We welcome the adoption of the declaration recognizing the Armenian Genocide by the Parliament of Latvia. This is a step towards the universal recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.
