The need for objective information sharply augments in times of military conflicts, which was manifested during the last large-scale Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

Azerbaijan, with direct involvement of Turkey and foreign terrorist fighters and mercenaries from the Middle East, launched a large-scale military offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh with a clear genocidal intent.

The essence of our relations is constantly reflected at various levels - from interpersonal contacts of our citizens to interstate relations. This has been also throughout history, in the days of our joint victories and beyond.

People of Nagorno-Karabakh are a reality on the ground, and the hesitation of the presence and direct involvement of international organizations is unacceptable.

The actions of Azerbaijan and its allies created new dangerous precedent for addressing conflict situations in the area of responsibility of the OSCE.

The Council of Europe must show determination and protect the right to life of ordinary citizens of Nagorno-Karabakh, as demanded by the European Court upon Armenia’s request.  

Fifteen years ago we altogether the UN member states endorsed the responsibility to protect as a firm political commitment to protect populations from massive and atrocious crimes, including the crime of genocide.

Foreign Minister reiterated Armenia’s full commitment to effective multilateral cooperation in support of the six priority areas of the Vienna Programme of Action and the Roadmap for Accelerated Implementation of the VPOA.
