On October 24, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood of the European Commission.

Օngoing efforts aimed at implementing the Armenia–EU Strategic Agenda for Partnership, as well as prospects for further deepening cooperation were discussed.

The discussions touched upon efforts to strengthen Armenia’s energy and economic resilience, including through trade diversification. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of fully utilizing the opportunities provided by the adoption of the EU regulation on Autonomous Trade Measures for Armenian products.

The interlocutors exchanged views on possible steps towards strengthening and consistently institutionalizing peace, as well as projects aimed at expanding transport infrastructure networks involving Armenia, in line with the Crossroads of Peace initiative.

The upcoming high-level contacts were also discussed.
