On October 8, Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia received Lise Nordgaard, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Armenia, on the occasion of the presentation of copies of her credentials.

The Deputy Minister congratulated Ambassador Nordgaard on commencement of her diplomatic mission and wished her success in her important duties.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the intensification of political dialogue between Armenia and Norway in recent years and the expansion of high-level contacts, emphasizing the importance of further deepening partnership, both bilaterally and within the Armenia-Northern Europe-Baltic countries format.

Vahan Kostanyan highly appreciated the effective cooperation established with Norway in the framework of the 17th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Armenia.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening trade and economic ties. The sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest and outlined prospects for further engagement in this direction.
