On October 5, in Tehran, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan was received by President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.

Following up on the meeting between the leaders of the two countries in New York, the interlocutors noted with satisfaction the active agenda of Armenia-Iran political contacts.

Particular attention was paid to the development of connectivity infrastructure and mutually beneficial cooperation projects in the energy sector. Minister Mirzoyan presented the progress in the implementation of the TRIPP project.

Views were exchanged on issues related to regional stability and security.

The participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran at a high level in the upcoming COP17 Conference in Yerevan was also touched upon.
