On September 23, in New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Velislava Petrova-Chamova.

The interlocutors discussed the implementation of the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Armenia and Bulgaria. 

Views were exchanged on the expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and opportunities for exporting Armenian products to the European market. The positive results recorded recently, including the exports of Armenian flowers, fish products and fruits during the period from June to September 2026 were noted.

Minister Mirzoyan noted that the established peace in the region has created new opportunities for the implementation of connectivity initiatives. The shared vision of Armenia and Bulgaria to serve as transport hubs in advancing regional connectivity was emphasized, along with the readiness to implement inclusive projects, including with the involvement of the European Union.
