On September 7, in Yerevan, political consultations were held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Uzbekistan, co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda and multilateral cooperation, including political dialogue at the highest and high levels, emphasizing the importance of further developing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various areas. 

Mnatsakan Safaryan and Bobur Usmanov paid particular attention to the prospects for deepening trade and economic ties, stimulating investments, and advancing cooperation in the fields of high technologies, education, and tourism. Fostering partnerships between business communities and maintaining an active dialogue were deemed pivotal steps. In this regard, the parties welcomed the resumption of direct air connectivity between Yerevan and Tashkent and agreed to intensify efforts aimed at further deepening cooperation in the area of connectivity.

The Deputy Ministers emphasized the importance of expanding the legal and contractual framework of bilateral relations to fully unlock the existing potential for cooperation in various fields.

Issues related to mutual participation in international events held in Armenia and Uzbekistan, as well as cooperation within international organizations were also discussed.
