On September 7, in Riga, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with representatives of leading Latvian think tanks. 

During the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan presented the developments in the South Caucasus, the efforts aimed at maintaining and further developing a favorable security environment around Armenia, normalizing and/or developing relations with the countries of the region, as well as deepening partnerships beyond the region. 

Ararat Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s approaches towards the further institutionalization of peace. Initiatives aimed at promoting regional connectivity, including the progress in the implementation of the TRIPP project, were also touched upon. 

Armenia’s balanced and balancing foreign policy, as well as the agenda of expanding strategic partnerships, were also discussed. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia emphasized the importance Armenia attaches to further developing cooperation with the Baltic countries in specific areas, as well as to exchanging experience on matters related to cooperation with the EU. 

Minister Mirzoyan also presented Armenia’s efforts aimed at diversifying economic ties and strengthening economic resilience.
