Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia received the delegation led by the Chair of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French Senate

On April 22, Mnatsakan Safaryan, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, received a delegation led by Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, Chair of the France–Armenia Friendship Group of the French Senate, which also included two Vice-Presidents of the Senate.

The Deputy Foreign Minister highly commended the pivotal role of Armenia–France interparliamentary relations in strengthening interstate ties, and expressed his gratitude for the consistent support extended to Armenia by the France–Armenia Friendship Group of the Senate.

The interlocutors discussed a broad range of issues on the Armenia–France bilateral agenda. Deputy Foreign Minister Safaryan emphasized the importance of the upcoming state visit to Armenia of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, describing it as a key milestone for formally institutionalizing the strategic nature of relations between the two countries.

Mr. Safaryan also addressed a number of questions raised by the French senators regarding regional developments and Armenia’s priorities within its international agenda.
